Design That Takes Flight: Where Ideas and Space Soar

In this project, the logo and the space design came together in a way that reflects both the ambition and the practical needs of the client, a company in the restaurant decor and construction industry looking to expand its market reach. They were ready to move beyond their current situation, and that mindset became the driving force behind the design process.

The space was a straightforward warehouse, ripe for transformation into a two-story office. But there was a catch—none of the walls could have windows. This lack of natural light and ventilation posed a challenge for the well-being of future office occupants. Relying solely on mechanical ventilation and artificial lighting wasn’t a sustainable solution, so the design had to think beyond these constraints.

The logo design itself reflects ambition and forward movement. Using a combination of triangles, arrows, and paper airplanes—paired with colors like white and deep red—the logo embodies upward growth, innovation, and a sense of balance between lightness and stability. It speaks not just to the aesthetic of the brand but also to its deeper vision of expanding into new horizons.

The spatial solution involved a clever workaround: installing skylights and opening up a gable wall in the ceiling of the second floor. This not only brought in natural light and fresh air but also transformed the previously enclosed, boxy space into a more dynamic, courtyard-style layout. The highlight? A paper airplane mobile hung from the ceiling, creating a 3D version of the brand's logo, with the gable wall serving as the backdrop. The design connects the interior with the natural world outside—offering views of the sky and the play of light and shadow throughout the day.

In the end, it’s hard to say which came first—the logo concept or the spatial solution. Did the logo inspire the space design, or did the space's limitations drive the logo’s creation? Either way, the result is a perfect marriage of brand identity and environment, with each reinforcing the other in a meaningful way.

The blend of functionality and creativity truly brings the brand to life, making this space much more than just an office—it's an embodiment of the company’s growth and aspirations.
